Manic Monday

Here's one of those fun churva-tests you can find online. And it says I'm... :-)

You Are 46% Manic

You are definitely super charged, and your energy is infectious!

Your mania is something to be proud of. You wouldn't be you without it.

Just make sure not to give into that self destructive streak of yours.

FL

As I’ve said before, everyone has his/her place online (it is not called the World Wide Web for nothing!). So whether you’re male, female, single, happily married or separated, annulled, divorced, black or white, Christians or non-Christians, it simply doesn’t matter. It also doesn’t matter if you’re gay and happy. But if you are gay and happy you may want to check the Florida Lesbians site. Then, tell us all about it.

****This site is strictly a mainstream site and has absolutely No adult content. This site was built in good taste to provide a place for women in this lifestyle to meet and chat. If you are still offended by this opportunity, please do not select it****

Friday Fill-Ins #6

Friday Fill-Ins #91

1. Care-free days are some of the things I'm most looking forward to in October.

2. Sometimes I doubt my sanity! *chuckle*

3. We never know what the future may bring and that's why there is a saying, "never say never"!

4. When I'm down, I sing.

5. At home is where you'll find me most often.

6. A rainy day is good for the barren heart. *grin*

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to reading random stuffs, tomorrow my plans include testing my new lens and Sunday, I want to test my lens some more!

Phone Lookup?

Are you in need to make a reverse phone lookup? Do you want to:

- confirm the source of a prank call;
- check an unknown number on your phone bill;
- locate loved ones or friends;
- or find out the caller of a missed call;

Then you definitely need to make a reverse phone look up. But no sweat, if you're in the US, you could simply do a National Phone Search using a hassle-free database. Just click the link on how to do this.

Guilt-Free

I’m so happy (despite having spent some hard earned cash enough to pay for a month-long gasoline supply).

Yesterday, I received a call from a staff of a camera shop informing me that the prime lens I ordered is already available in their shop. Haay, after more than three weeks of waiting, the lens has finally arrived. I ordered this lens because it is cheap. Second, I want to try doing more portrait shots, hoping to learn more about photography in the process. For an amateur like me, it is a good steal. I am also planning to bring this lens in our upcoming vacation.

It was absolutely hard to contain my excitement so after work yesterday, I immediately proceeded to the mall where their shop is located. After the initial tests, I paid for the lens. While waiting for my purchase, the staff (who called and whom I already befriended through time) informed me that they have an available lens hood for the kit lens I have. This lens hood is hard to find these days –at least in this city. So after thinking about it for few minutes, I decided to add it to my purchase.

In the pretext of checking other camera models, I walked away from this staff and moved to the other side of the showroom (but this I purposely did for fear that he might mention another item which I would eventually be tempted to buy. lol.). Later did I realize that that was not a too brilliant idea. Why? As I was checking stuffs at the front part of the room, I spotted a camera bag that looks perfect to me. Very much like what these red Lowe Alpine rucksacks are doing to me at this very moment, its red color mercilessly teased and seduced me. In the end, horribly giving in to the temptation, I picked it up and brought it to the counter! But that bag is truly irresistible.

Going home empty-pocketed but not empy-handed, I shamefully realized that I failed economy-wise. But I'm happy and I believe it's money well spent.

Identify It

Have you been bugged by a telephone call (or series of telephone calls) that you have not been able to identify its source?

Sometimes, there are pranksters who get their kicks in randomly dialing telephone numbers in the dead of the night. Have you ever experience this?

Share it online. Visit Caller Identifier and help identify these unwanted calls or even stop pranksters.

Kick Ass...

Maiylah gave me this KickAss B bling that made my heart turn into butter. ;-) I'm not sure if I deserve to be called a kickass blogger but I so appreciate the thought. Thanks Mai!

Photobucket

Do you know any bloggers that kick ass?

Maybe they've got incredible, original content. Or they're overflowing with creativity. Is it someone that helps you become a better blogger? Or a bloggy friend you know you can count on? Or maybe it's someone who simply inspires you to be a better person... or someone else who sends you to the floor, laughing your ass off.

Whatever the reason may be, I'm sure you know at least a couple of bloggers that kick ass. Well... why not tell 'em so?

LOVE ON 'EM
  • Choose 5 bloggers that you feel are "Kick Ass Bloggers"
  • Let 'em know in your post or via email, twitter or blog comments that they've received an award
  • Share the love and link back to both the person who awarded you and back to www.mammadawg.com
  • Hop on back to the Kick Ass Blogger Club HQ to sign Mr. Linky then pass it on!

Anyway, I'm passing this to Chuck, Regina, Jae, Melanie and Grace.

My Stripper Song Is...

It's Closer from Nine Inch Nails, ladies and gentlemen.

I certainly don't feel like stripping to this song. But hey, that's what this fun game said. So, as my son would say, nothing personal (despite the fact that stripping is soooo personal)!

Your Stripper Song Is

Closer by Nine Inch Nails

"You let me violate you, you let me desecrate you

You let me penetrate you, you let me complicate you

Help me I broke apart my insides, help me I've got no

Soul to tell"

When you dance, it's a little scary - and a lot sexy.

Checking Wisconsin

I found interesting trivia about Wisconsin this afternoon:

Producing more milk than any other state in the USA, Wisconsin is the dairy capital of the United States.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin is home of Harley Davidson Motorcycles.

Green Bay, Wisconsin's oldest city is the Toilet Paper Capital of the World.

With these, I gather it must be interesting to live in the Wisconsin area. But how safe is it in Wisconsin? Are there criminals i.e sex offenders living in the area? If you live in Wisconsin, you might want to check how safe your neighborhood and Locate Wisconsin Sex Offenders, if there is any. Just click the link.

I'm 25 Years Old, Thank You

Protect Yourself Part 3

Let me quote:

Megan's Law is a federal bill that requires that the public to be kept informed of sexual predators and their whereabouts.

I always believe there is power in knowing. I also believe that in knowing, you can save yourself from the hazards of ignorance (which may cost you your life). So take the first step in protecting yourself. Stay informed. Do a regular Sexual Predator Search in your area.

Anxiety Test

I took the anxiety test at Queendom today and here's the result.
Existential Anxiety
16
Your score on this scale was quite low, indicating that you are generally satisfied with life and are able to handle the fact that there are things beyond your control. You likely feel pretty good about yourself on the whole, and don't experience a debilitating amount of worry over the future. Individuals with this profile are typically able to find some kind of meaning in their lives, which alleviates the occasional feeling of futility. You may have the rare flashes of existential anxiety from time to time but are able to get a grip on them before they send you on a downward spiral. This positive outlook certainly has a profound effect on the way you view the world and your role in it.
Truth is, I'm honestly surprise that I am only 16/100 anxious. I've expected to get about 50 or 60 but it says I'm 16. Unbelievable! Lol.

This would sound self-serving but right now, I'm trying to come up with adjectives to describe Asians.

Others might not agree with what I came up with. But that's fine, everyone has their own opinion.

A- is for Affectionate
S- is for Sensitive
I- is for Intelligent
A- is for Alluring
N- is for Nice

Saturday Nine #4

Saturday 9: Whistle While You Work

1. Tell us which job your are telling us about, and when you had it. Motherhood. I've been at it for almost 3 years.

2. Where do/did you work?
Home. Mall. Bath. Anywhere the kid goes, I go. Anywhere I go, the kid goes.

3. Tell us about that boss.
Oh but I'm the boss! And that would make me too biased. But the other boss?
Apart from being considerate and generous, he is pleasing to the eyes. :-)

4. Do/Did you find your work creative? If yes how?
Very creative. I constantly look for ways to make changing poopy diapers as uneventful as watching TV. And then I always put out my magic wand to turn vegetables into chips.

5. Tell us about your favorite co-worker.
She's my things-can-always-wait sister!

6. Tell us about the biggest jerk in that job.
Me?

7. Where do/did you see yourself with this job in five years?
With this job, I know I'm going to a the plastic surgeon's clinic even before 5 years. Think wrinkles.

8. Tell us about your commute.
Mmmm. Sometimes, I make a good horse. :-)

9. What hours of the day do/did you work?
24 hours a day, 7 days a week, no breaks, no restdays.

BBW Chat

So what does BBW stands for? Does it mean Big Beautiful Women? Or something else. I couldn't really be sure.

DO you know what it means? Or are you like me also racking your brain for its meaning? If you do know, drop me a line, I'd appreciate it. Anyway, there's a BBW Chatroom in the worldwide web. If you're interested, check it out.

I'm Saying It Now

If you're wondering about something I said here, here's the answers to your silent questions.

I'm Asian. I'm a Christian.

I have my character flaws (and I have an attitude) but I think I don't have a discriminating bone in my body. Not one.

Come as you are. Treat me fine. I'll treat you good and I'll treat you fine. There I said it.

Breaking Out Of the Usual

I'm currently running around the Web, checking chatrooms after chatrooms! But I am not doing any chatting. :-) I still not done yet.

Thanks for your patience and understanding.

Vampires?

Among the chatrooms I’ve seen at this early hour, this one is getting me intrigued. I wonder what the chatters really talk about in a Vampire Chat Room. It would be interesting –and fun- to see the actual transcripts of their chats here. Would they really be talking about vampires the wholetime? And what is a vampire culture? The vamp culture I know is only about getting no sleep! Lol

Optimistic but demanding

Your name also says you are:

Unconventional but unstable

Ambitious but stubborn

And great times like this is enhanced more with a comfortable outdoor partner such as this cool outdoor furniture -this chaise lounge from Spacify. BTW, Spacify also offers a wide variety of bedroom furniture and bathroom furniture. :-)

Anyway, here's one of my favorite songs from Andrea Bocelli -and yes, Charice sang it, too.

Online Divorce Records

If you scanned this page, you might have seen the post where I mentioned the existence of an online database where one could check marriage records. Another database that’s also existing now (at least in the USA), is the database allocated for Divorce Public Records. (Okay this is making me laugh because right after submitting the marriage records, I was reserved this opps)

No, I am definitely not kidding. There really is a database where anyone in the USA can check divorce records online. Find out how easy it is to search records by clicking the link.

Marriage records are confidential…not! I learned today that in the US, it’s possible to check marriage records online. I’m totally amazed! The Internet has really made things easier, faster and yes, painless!

To check Public Marriage Records, one only needs to specify his name, age, city and state. There's also a categorized search where one could browse through this online database by state.

He's Back, Sarah is Back, Prison Break is Back

Sarah is definitely back. Oh yeah!

I've seen the first 2 episodes of Season 4 (yup, I'm late again!), and boy was I a happy chick. I can't wait to see what they're ALL really up to in Season 4...of course, I half figured it out already but I wanna see it all confirmed!

Sweet Torture

If you personally know me, you’d know how much I love seafoods. Lobsters. Shrimps. Fish. Seaweeds. Squids. Oysters. Crabs. Name it and my stomach will be all for it.

Fried. Boiled. Sauteed. Grilled. Cook it any way you want, and rest assured that I’d still be all for it (and right at this minute, my mouth is watering with the mere mention of these things). There’s hardly a seafood dish I’ll snob – especially if its fresh (that’s why it’s always better to use locally produced seafoods because when fresh, the flavor is retained).

So anyway, tonight, when I viewed the entries of the five finalists of the 2008 Great American Seafood Cook-Off, I wanted to shout: TORTURE! It is indeed a torture to my palate to be presented with palate-appealing dishes but which I can only watch (until my eyes bulge) but not (able to) taste them. I would certainly love to try these dishes. What gastronomical pleasure it would have been if I could. I.am.drooling. already! *grin*

But without tasting each one, I have chosen a favorite. Actually, there are two recipes that I have chosen. The first one is the entry from Louisiana, the Shrimp and Andouille Cassoulet. From the looks of it, this dish by Chef Brian Landry must be so tasty (. If not for the chicken broth (by choice, I rarely eat poultry products), I wouldn’t have any objection if I were to eat this everyday. But I hope it would still taste good if I substitute chicken with beef broth. (Will it be okay, Chef Brian?)

And the other favorite is the Texas Gulf Shrimp. Isn’t it obvious that I have a thing for shrimps? Anyway, this dish from Chef Mark Holley looks scrumptious. I could almost taste its cheesy goodness. Yummmm…*swallowing saliva* (Haaaay, someone is so mean to me tonight!)

Do you wanna see these dishes (and their recipes) that I’m talking about? Visit this cook off. You could also vote for your favorite recipe and win a trip to New Orleans there.

Going For A Roadtrip

I used to work in the field and most of the time, a day wouldn’t pass by without going for a road trip, which can sometimes be long. In fact, there were times the trips are so long that it takes up most of our working hours. Pretty tiring, I know. But one good thing is we were always provisioned with a vehicle –and don’t have to commute! I wouldn’t have imagined if we were to commute. It would have taken us forever to reach our destinations.

So what if you’re on a road trip and you want the convenience of having a car to drive? I believe car hire service is the answer. There are lots of companies offering this type of service. There are even car hire services you can book online –anywhere in the world you may be. Like if you're off to Portugal, just click the cheap portugal car hire link and find out how to do it.
